The Studio
City Dance Corps is one of Toronto’s leading centres for dance instruction with its welcoming atmosphere and cutting edge, unique dance workshops. Established in 2002, classes at CDC are taught by professional instructors and in all forms of dance. Classes are always exciting and unsurpassed in quality. Unique to our studio is our Salsa Dance Program, Absolute Beginner Series, Hollywood Dance Series, Stiletto Dance Series, Performance Classes. Our dance classes for adults include an extensive Salsa and Latin program in addition to Drop in and Registered classes in all styles of dance. We also have a kids and teen program that focus on performance training and dance conditioning. From the absolute beginner dancer to the most advanced, you’re guaranteed to find a dance class that will get you movin’ and groovin!
The Professional Dance Company
City Dance Corps has a professional dance company that performs in Salsa, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, and Jazz. Our Salsa team has been featured as guest instructors and performers in Bermuda, Ireland, Montreal, UK, Japan, New Jersey, Puerto Rico to name a few, at Salsa Congress, Conventions, Salsa Festivals and other special events.
Event Producers
As an advocate for the arts, City Dance Corps produces and funds several dance showcases a year as a way to support and promote the dance community and emerging talent in the Toronto dance scene.
Talent Defined is an annual showcase of emerging and professional dance companies and choreographers showcasing their work to the public in a professional theatre venue. We have been hosting “Talent Defined” since 2004 and runs every June.
We also produce an all faculty show in the fall that showcases the talented dancers, instructors and choreographers with City Dance Corps.
