Kaye is passionate about developing an honest connection with people.  Whether it is with family, friends or students, it gives her great joy when she is able to make a positive impact on their day.   She admires the journey everyone takes through their yoga practice and enjoys guiding them through it on and off the mat.  www.facebook.com/KayeYoga

The practice of yoga entered Kaye's life in 2006 thanks to her friends Tracy & Jose Dos Anjos who opened their first yoga studio in downtown Toronto.  A loyal supporter, Kaye continued to take classes until it became her favourite “me time” activity.  It was in the Fall of 2011 that she decided to dive deeper into her practice so she began yoga teacher training with Balanced Life Yoga in Ajax. Thanks to her mentor Shasta Townsend, her amazing teachers Angela Ryan, Krista Reeson, and friends/instructors, Lisa Barkin, David Good and Carmen Puyo,  Kaye not only loves practicing yoga, she absolutely loves teaching it too.

The style of yoga Kaye has been certified with is Vinyasa Yoga.  She has experience teaching pre-natal yoga under the loving guidance of Shawna Fujiki, and kids yoga with the support of Laura Avard.  She also has taught Gentle, Hot and Power Yoga.  Meditation is one of Kaye's favourite parts of the practice.  Centring the mind with the body after class is a great way to feel connected with oneself.

Kaye's love for wellness does not stop at yoga because cycling is also a big part of her life.  She trained, with PT Dana Collis, for months leading up to her first Ride to Conquer cancer (a 200km bike ride from Toronto to Niagara Falls).  She took part in the fundraiser for three years in a row and raised over $8000 for Princess Margaret Hospital.  In the Fall of 2012, Kaye was blessed with more great teachers.  James Gekko and Andy Drake of Legacy Indoor Cycling certified Kaye as a Schwinn Indoor Cycling Coach.  Being a yoga & cycling instructor is the perfect pairing for Kaye so it makes sense that she has the same mission for both.  To make an honest connection with people so that it will positively impact their day.

This mission is something she carries out in all aspects of her life.  In addition to being a fitness professional, Kaye enjoys volunteering her time to support Kol Hope Foundation for Children, the beneficiary of Canada Philippine Fashion Week (CPFW) where she serves as PR & Media Relations Director.  For more information about the charity, please visit www.kolhope.com.   For information about this pioneering event which will take place in Toronto, June 10-15 2013, please visit www.canadaphilippinefashionweek.com.
